Two bathrooms at a time, while the home carries on
Laidre is refurbishing resident bathrooms for RFBI at Hawkins Masonic Village on a rolling program, two at a time, while the nursing home runs as normal. Each pair gets new vinyl flooring, a vanity with the power point built in and sensor lighting, and goes back to the home before the next pair starts. We'd handed back 14 by mid-October 2026.

A bathroom is the most private room there is
The bathrooms at Hawkins needed renewing, but the nursing home had to keep running and every resident needed a working bathroom close by. Shutting a whole wing at once was never an option.
What we did
- Set up a rolling program: two bathrooms at a time, each pair handed back to the facility before the next pair starts, roughly every two weeks.
- New vinyl flooring, in a colour range agreed with RFBI.
- A new vanity with the power point relocated into it.
- LED slimline batten lighting with a sensor.
- The existing exhaust fan retained.
- Completion photos go to RFBI's property team as each pair is handed back.
Fourteen bathrooms, and counting
Between July and mid-October 2026 we handed back 14 resident bathrooms, two at a time, with the home running as normal. The next pair started on 19 October.
